Katie G is a 40-footer designed
by Rodger Martin Yacht Designs and built for Eric
Goetz. Built to be “fast, fun, and easy
to sail”, Martin’s design was strongly
influenced by Open Class offshore racers, which
contributed such features as water ballast, the
plumb stem, and the rig. Katie G is tiller-steered,
in keeping with the “big dinghy” approach
of her hull and rig.
