Whisper VII was built in 1985
for Mr. Hollis Baker. Mr. Baker, a sailor at heart
with 25+ Chicago Mac races under his belt, gave
Goetz the contract for his first go at a powerboat.
Whisper VII was a success easily achieving her
design brief of 30-knots, with her lightweight
construction and Arneson surface drives a top
speed came in at 35-knots. This Ray Hunt 57’
design was built utilizing wood inner skin, Airex
core and E Glass outer skin.
