Paul Winkelmann's Island Fling
Takes First at Singapore Straits
 The
13th Singapore Straits Regatta was held January 17 through
the 20th, with winds running the gamut from barely there
to a blast reach westward on the last day. Island Fling,
the Goetz-built former Esmeralda, finished in first
place yet again, edging out Mandrake by half a point
overall. This brings Paul Winkelmann and Island Fling
into a tie for the lead in the Asian Yachting Grand
Prix Skipper and Yacht Championships.
