Out of a field of 79 boats completing the 2007 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, two Goetz-built yachts crossed the line in the top ten. Syd Fischer, in his 39th Sydney Hobart, took Ragamuffin to second place in the IRC B class (7th in line honours), and Graeme Wood (with Mike Green) on Wot Yot placed fourth in IRC B and 9th over the line.

2007 was a busy year for Ragamuffin. Starting life as Philippe Kahn’s TP52 Pegasus, she was converted by Roy Disney to Morning Light for this year’s Transpac, where she and her crew were filmed in preparation for a full length feature. Following that race, she was purchased by Syd Fischer and brought down under for racing in the southern hemisphere.
